  • $200,000 Business Travel Accident Insurance
  • Baggage insurance - up to $500 for carry-on luggage and $1,250 for checked luggage
  • No pre-set spending limit
  • Personal check cashing identification
  • Hotel guarantees and deposits
  • Global Assistance Hotline
  • 24-hour customer services.

Applications are available from Accounting Services.  Once your application is complete, return it to Accounting Services.  It will be forwarded to West Lafayette and then to American Express for approval.  Once you've been approved for your card, all future correspondence regarding your card will be between  you and American Express.  You will be billed at your home address and are responsible for keeping your account current.

Payment on American Express cards is due in full upon receipt of your monthly billing statement.  If an amount is past due for two billing cycles a delinquency assessment of $10 or 2.5% of the seriously delinquent amount, whichever is greater, will be added.

The American Express Corporate Charge Card is made available to university employees for university travel purposes. It should not be used as a personal charge card.
